Promoting Affiliate Showcase Through Email
Email Marketing is not new, but it can be one of the best skills that an Internet Marketer can add to their repertoire.   When you promote products online you'll receive many visitors that don't end up purchasing the product the first time they visit your page.

If you convert 2 out of 100 visitors, you're doing pretty good.   But that means that out of every 100 visitors, 98 leave your site without making a purchase.

What if you could collect the email addresses of 20 of those 98 visitors so that you could contact them later with information and promotions?

Well, you can, and that's what we call Email Marketing.   It's what ALL top Internet Marketers do.  You can literally take those 20 visitors who weren't ready to become customers, and turn them into customers later (and they'll buy from you over and over again).

How to Create a Mailing List for Affiliate Showcase Promotions?
Creating a mailing list is not something that you should focus on if you are just getting started as an Internet Marketer.

It adds significant earning potential, but there's a learning curve.  It adds more complexity and requires more time and effort to be effective.  That's why, at Affiliate Showcase, we maintain an opt-in list for you!

If you still want to create your own mailing list, here's a list of things you'll need.

  • You need to sign-up to an auto responder service that will manage your email campaigns for you. This is a must have if you are going to create a list.  At Affiliate Showcase, we use the services of Aweber.com  and we highly suggest that you use them too.  Do not try to do this on your own server (we've done this); it's not worth the hassle!

  • Next, you need your own website.  Without a website, there's no place to put a web form where people can register to your mailing list.

  • Create an offer to your subscribers.  People aren't willing to give up their email information unless you have an offer of value to them.  You can offer bonuses in the form of a small ebook, tips, tools, and enrollment into your top secret newsletter.

Following Up With Your Subscribers
Once you've obtained a subscriber, you'll want to follow-up with them, providing as much value as possible.  Aweber.com makes it easy to automate this and you can easily create a follow-up sequence that will go out automatically after someone signs up to your list.

We suggest that you set-up at least a four or five day sequence of follow-up messages that provide value to your subscribers.   Making a good first impression is key to creating a list that's responsive and will take advantage of the promotional offers you make in the future.  Here's an example of a five day follow-up sequence that you can send out to your list.

They already have your affiliate link for Affiliate Showcase embedded, so all you have to do is fix the personalization code to match the requirements of your autoresponder service, and put your own name at the end.

Broadcast Emails

After your list finishes their follow-up sequence, it is important to keep in contact with them on a regular basis.  We suggest that for every promotion that you send your mailing list that you send a valuable email that is promotion free.  Many marketers make the mistake of sending promotion after promotion to their mailing lists, losing all credibility and losing the interest of a large majority of their subscribers.

We have found that sending emails on a weekly basis has been best for customer conversion ratio, and subscriber retention.
